It is important to bring the proper things when you are traveling so I’ve made a list here that can help you. Pack light – it is easy to travel when you don’t have too many bags with you, don’t miss your flight. . .
- Pack light, bringing only necessities which may include:
- Wired earphones are a good idea if your plane has TVs installed. Usually if you are going on a seven hour flight or longer, most planes will give a free set of earphones. Plus if you brought your own earphones you could start watching right away
- You can also bring an Ipad or tablet with you because some planes don’t have TVs
- If you like to read, books are nice to keep you busy if you’re going on a long flight
- Snacks: trail mix, cookies, chips, gummy bears, crackers, . . . (must be in small bags)
- Hoodie/ sweater because you never know when you might need it!
- Passport and boarding pass. Make sure you keep these in a bag where you can easily get them out when needed (carry on bag)
- Prescriptions (If you have any, also don’t put them in checked bags!)
- Bring some spending money for souvenirs!
- If you are traveling by plane don’t miss your flight; be at the airport two hours early
- Don’t go to bed late, especially when you have an early morning flight. Set an alarm clock for the time you need to wake up
- Put toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and toothpaste) in a Ziplock to avoid spills
- Pack the proper attire for your trip:
- Tropical destination: Sunblock, sun hat, sun glasses, bathing suit, flip flops, towel, shorts and a T-shirt. I like the towels from https://seatosummitusa.com/ because they are light weight and absorbent
- Winter vacation: Hat, mitts, scarf, jacket, warm boots, long sleeve shirts, and warm pants
- Camera or a smart phone for taking pictures
- Pen and notebook to write about your trip
