Hello hello everyone. Today I am popping in with a post that is not a book review or a travel post, rather some information on what my positions at Digitally Lit and Bridge to Publishing are and who I get to work with 😀
As you most likely already know, I am a Youth Ambassador for Digitally Lit: Our Stories Matter. It is where youth from all over Atlantic Canada read Nova Scotian books and promote them, because Nova Scotian stories matter. But it’s not only stories from Nova Scotia. ALL of our stories matter :] you can meet the entire team on our social media channels, mostly Instagram.
My Instagram handle is @arielaonthego, in case you don’t know :]
However, now I work with B2P as well, and B2P means Bridge to Publishing. It is much like Digitally Lit, but instead of just promoting Nova Scotian books, youth from Atlantic Canada promote Indigenous stories from all over Atlantic Canada. The main focus is to get Indigenous youth into the publishing industry, and I’m super grateful to be working with BOTH of these amazing organizations. Totally a dream job.
So. Small Press Month. Why do I have the jobs that I have? Well, it’s also to promote less well known publishers and authors. Locals supporting locals, in a way. With Digitally Lit: OSM, the publishers we have are based in Nova Scotia.

And for B2P, there are publishers all over Atlantic Canada. Here they are:

So these are all of the publishers that I work with!
Since it’s small press month, there’s no better time to support these publishers and check them out!

That’s all for today! Thank you so much for reading, and I really hope you consider checking out these publishers and supporting some less well known authors :]
Bye!
Reading is never a bad suggestion!
