An Eggciting Story!

Are you eggcited for this post? The restaurants in British Columbia,Canada are still open for business, but with reduced capacity. ‘Cause of the pandemic we don’t eat out as much as we did before. Right now we seldom eat out, and mostly it’s take out. But if we do, we go during the week so there are even less people in the restaurant.

My dad was watching T.V. this week, and he saw a re-run of the show, You Gotta Eat Here!, on the Food Network. The featured restaurant was The Jammery in Kelowna. They serve All You Can Eat Waffles! (Who doesn’t love waffles?!) Years ago when we visited The Jammery, we only ordered a few waffles, but this time we came hungry! On the T.V. show, they featured the Eggs Benedict. My dad and I love Eggs Benny so we decided to try it! Mom ordered Chorizo Toss, and it was also featured on the T.V. show.

The Benny was really good. The hollandaise sauce was delicious, the ham and potatoes were perfectly cooked. I ate it all, because it was SO delicious!

Besides the delicious food, The Jammery also serves a variety of tea, which perfectly pairs with your breakfast or lunch. Also they sell different kind of jams made right there in the facility, and the fruits came from the local orchards of course! My mom’s meal came with a peach jam and strawberry jam for her rye bread. She loved everything on her plate! 😋

I just wanted to share my experience at this place because the food is really good and the gift shop is sooooo cool! This is another place to visit when you visit Kelowna, British Columbia. In case you want to check out the restaurant, or buy some jams here’s the website – https://www.jammery.com/

Are you a fan of Eggs Benedict? Do you have a favorite place for breakfast? Let me know on the comment below!

  1. That sounds like a great breakfast place! It sounds like you’re having a lot of fun with your winter travels! There is something special about winter travelling, hey?

    1. Yes, it is! Traveling is not so glamorous right now, but we are enjoying Canada 🇨🇦 🍁 ❤️

      1. That’s great! When we were living in Switzerland/France, businesses shut down for the month of January and people go skiing or do other kinds of travelling. I was a baby then, so I don’t remember it, but my parents absolutely loved travelling in Europe in the winter!

  2. What a delicious and nutritious breakfast. Eggs Benedict is my favorite way to have breakfast eggs served. Hey that cartoon graphic of Ariela is pretty cool. That should be a keeper for your personal scrap book I think.

    1. Yes, that sounds good! My family and I tried to be vegetarian, but we only lasted for four months.😂

  3. Absolutely love eggs Benedict! Perkins serves a version with avocado and cheese that is really delicious. We haven’t been out to eat since March because of the pandemic, and you are making me hungry! 🙂 Happy Holidays to you and your family, Ariela! <3
