Blog Anniversary and Travel Update

Hello again!

Today is… My blog’s anniversary! Woo hoo! And, sorry for not being very active, or reading the posts of my blogging friends. I was busy traveling back to Canada’s East Coast which ALSO means that I’m in quarantine right now! πŸ€ͺ HELP MEEEEEE!!!

It took us four nights and five days, with three border crossing checkpoints! Right now, Canada is surfing πŸ„πŸ½ on the third wave of the pandemic, but there are more people getting vaccinated, and the Covid cases are going down! Yay! Traveling from province to province is not allowed unless it’s SUPER DUPER essential travel. The police are stationed between Manitoba and Ontario, Ontario and Quebec, and then Quebec to New Brunswick. There is also a curfew in Quebec so no driving after 9:30 p.m., and that’s also why it took us another extra day. In New Brunswick, where we live, my parents needed to be approved just to come in to the province. It’s so strict it’s kind of annoying. But of course, we got approved to enter New Brunswick because we live there! And we understand all the precautions, they’re just trying to keep everyone safe.

I attached here a video of our perilous journey fun trip. We didn’t really stop anywhere special because of the pandemic, but we stopped at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and took a picture with Mac the Moose, the largest moose statue in the world. We also had lunch at Jolibee in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the first Jolibee location in Canada. If you’re wondering what in the world Jolibee is, it’s a popular fast food chain from the Philippines, and they have a good fried chicken! πŸ— My favourite meal to get there would be chicken with sticky white rice and gravyyy. πŸ—πŸš We also took the truck route in Ontario to make the trip even shorter. My dad always makes sure that we have enough gas to get us to the next gas station because it’s pretty sparse up there, and the accommodation in Northern Ontario is very basic to say the least.

Check out the video! 😊

Okay, okay, okay, enough of the travel update πŸ˜‚ Today is my one year blog anniversary! Woo hoo! Like most of the new bloggers, I also started my blog during the beginning of the pandemic! I’ve really enjoyed having a blog, because this kinda means that I’m a published author, and I like that I get to write crazy stuff and force you guy to read it, MWAHAHAHA that I get to post some of my artwork, meet new friends, and my share travel adventures! Yay!

Aaaand you guys gotta stay tuned for (another) big announcement! Yay!

  2. Montreal traffic is the same as I remember it from 2005! Except we were in the city and traffic creeped along at 5mph for miles! (or 8kph for many kilometers! πŸ˜‰)

  3. Happy blogversary! 🎊🎊 Glad you got back to New Brunswick safely. It’s good to know about the interprovincial travel too. I just had to cancel a trip to Northern Ontario. I was going to see the annular eclipse there, but that’s not possible. Glad you’re safe and healthy 😊

    1. Thank you! I spend spring and summer in New Brunswick. Fall and winter in Florida. I have posts about beautiful places to visit in NB. 😊

  4. Happy blog anniversary Ariela! Well done on your writing for your first year! Hey, you went right through my home town, or probably took the highway around it anyway! Glad you made the trip safely.πŸ˜€πŸ˜ΊπŸ₯³πŸ₯³
