Canada’s Warmest Welcome

Hello everyone! You guys have probably been wondering where we have been for a while, I kept saying, ‘’the Okanagan Valley,’’ but I never really said WHERE exactly… We are staying in Osoyoos, (pronounced “soo-yoos”). The name Osoyoos means ‘’narrowing of the waters’’ in the Okanagan language (Syilx’tsn), and it was originally supposed to be ‘’soo-yoos” but the settlers wanted to add an “O” because the other towns start with an “O” such us Oliver, Okanagan Falls, Omak, and Oroville.

High Tea in Vancity

My dad loves to take my mom and I for high tea, and I’ve been to a few afternoon tea in Fairmont Hotels. Dad has some British roots in him that’s why he loves fancy tea also, but he loves coffee more! So he booked an afternoon tea at TWG Tea (The Wellness Group). It is a luxurious tea company from Singapore established in 2007. TWG Tea salons and boutiques are in eighteen countries worldwide. Right now TWG Tea in Vancouver is the only one in North America. This is our first time so we don’t know what to expect.

Hopewell Rocks

Today, I’m going to keeping up with the “rock” theme. Here are more famous rocks, they are the Hopewell Rocks, or Flowerpot Rocks. Hopewell Rocks are located in Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick. It is one of the iconic landmark in New Brunswick, it’s in every brochure and tourist guide. Why is it so special? It is because you can walk on the ocean floor when it’s low tide, plus kayak or swim when it’s high tide! Isn’t that amazing! Hopewell Rocks is located in the Bay of Fundy which has the highest tides in the world.
