This is going to be like a little extra post this week. It’s gonna be about what we did for my mom’s birthday. We went horse back riding, and I like horse back riding. I went to a horsemanship camp before at my favourite camp, Hampton Bible Camp. It’s fun when the horse starts trotting. Trotting is when the horse goes fast, but not to fast. They assigned a calmer horse for my mom because it was her first time to ride a horse. My mom was nervous at first. My mom confessed that she did NOT want to trot at first, but after a while she was fine. When we got home, she said that her butt hurt because of the bumpy ride! Mom actually liked the horseback riding experience, and she would love to do it again.
The place we went to is called the Broadleaf Riding Experience, it’s only an hour an a half away. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. They explained to us how to control the horses before we start. The guide brought us through the field and marshland. It was very peaceful and we could see the mountains. The sun was shining and there was a little breeze. I would say it was a perfect day! I could see the well beaten path that the horses walked on. Lots of nearby cows grazing in the fields. I saw a mother cow, and a calf. The calf was so cute!
I really love where I live because there’s so many outdoor activities we can do, and they are not too far either. I’m sure my mom had a great birthday celebration! My Dad and I also took her out for dinner to a fancy Italian restaurant. We got dressed up, which is very rare right now.

My horse’s name is Pinto, my mom got to ride a horse called Mango, and my dad got to ride a horse called Blake. We called ourselves the travellintrio!

How fun! I haven’t been horseback riding in decades. I was lucky enough as a little girl to have a friend that had horses and her family would invite me along sometimes. You have a beautiful family. Happy birthday to your Mom!
