Hello people. I live once moooooore! Yay! Today I’m gonna be sharing some of the activities that you can do this summer so you don’t get bored! It basically a list of really fun things that I find fun and that I wanna do. And, you. And you can do them too! When August 1st hits, here in New Brunswick, we don’t have to wear ours masks anymore. 😱 And now I’m fully vaccinated! Yay! My arm was sore for a few days, but all is good!
Here’s my list:
- Road Trip – Summer time is a really great time to go on a road trip because the weather is awesome. 😎🌞 I went to Ottawa to visit my grandpa and my Uncle Rob that I didn’t get to see for more than a year. It was so nice to finally see them again.
2. Visit an amusement park
I went to La Ronde in Montreal, Quebec. It’s one of the Six~flags amusement park in Canada. I had an amazing time! Click here to read about my post!
2. Boating/Jet Skiing/or any Water Craft
I was at my Uncle Rob’s cottage, and he has a boat. After a big BBQ meal, we all went in for a boat ride in the Mississippi Lake. I love it because I love the wind blowing on my face! ✨ glorious✨
3. Going to summer camp
Every summer since I was five years old, I’ve been going to camp. I really like camp because you get to do all sorts of fun things, like, zip lining, horseback riding, archery, and canoeing and kayaking, and many more. On July 18th I’m going to Camp Tulakadik for five nights. I can’t bring my phone (good!) and there’s no internet for me to use anyway.
4. Watch a drive-in movie
Those are always fun, except for the mosquitoes. 🦟 I don’t even know what movie I would go see. I’m not a massive Marvel fan, but I am curious to see what Black Widow is like.
5. Swim and Picnic on the Lake
I was at my Uncle’s cottage, and I swam at the lake there after we all had lunch.
6. Camping
I haven’t gone camping yet, but it is something that my family do every year. But again, I don’t like mosquitoes.
7. Helping out a church group summer project
I attended the very first Undercurrent ever. It’s an event where churches from all across Atlantic Canada get together and serve the people in their community! I got to make cards and cookies for senior citizens, frontline workers, and firemen! Plus, I also helped to keep the city clean by picking up trash. And, most churches hold a VBS (Vacation Bible School) each year, and I’m gonna be helping this years VBS. Honestly though, I don’t think I’ll be much of a help, more like one of those little trouble making kids. 🤪
8. Picnic at the beach
We plan to go to the beach. What is summer if you didn’t go to the beach, right? We always bring food with us and have a fun summer picnic there. I’ll ask my mom to bring watermelon 🍉 my favorite.
9. Fishing
My dad got some fancy new fishing rods for saltwater so I’m excited to use them really soon.
10. Visit many ice cream place and bubble tea
Summer means hot weather, so you need something to cool you off! Bubble tea is my number one cool treat, BUT I also love rolled ice cream from Delish! I also love flavor burst soft ice cream (P.S. I consider myself a bit of a bubble tea expert because I’ve tried bubble tea from all across Canada 🤪).
11. READ
Go to your local library and join summer reading. Reading is fun, and definitely better than a TV screen
12. Do art
I find drawing calming, and it can be really productive and real ear your creativity too!
13. Learn some new skills
If you want to learn something, summer is your best time to do it. Every summer I take swimming lesson to be a lifeguard someday, and it will be my summer job to make some money. And for the first time, I will also go to a Water Ski Camp in August. I’m excited for this one!
with all of those ideas no one should be bored this summer. I want to hear more about the water ski camp. That sounds awesome. When I was a kid we were lucky enough to have a cottage on an island and spent the entire summer there. You have an even better mix of fun plans
I can picture you as a little trouble making kid 🙂 Enjoy summer, coming only once a year!
Troublemakeing? Moi? Nawww, couldn’t be me, I’m an angel 😇
Love this post! A picnic at the beach and a drive in movie sound super fun! I’ve never been to a drive in movie so it sounds really interesting – great post!
I think I’ll spend my summer reading blogs like THIS one! Enjoy and be faithful to Him who has called you by His name. ❤️&🙏, c.a.
I can tell you really love my blog, thank you so much 😊
Great list! I have either seen or participated in sporting events in the summer too! They are awesome!
Being without your phone for 5 whole days. How will you survive? I can remember when there were no mobile phones / smart phones / PC’s / laptops and all the other technological innovations that have become ‘essential’ in modern times. Around 1999 / 2000 (I can’t remember exactly when) and when many people still wore wrist watches to tell the time instead of looking at their phones like they do now (including me!) I did an organized overland expedition from Darwin to Broome (Australia) a 9 day 4WD trip across The Kimberley across mostly dirt roads. An awesome and unforgettable experience. The first thing our guide and driver said was for every one to remove their wrist watches so that we all had to use our body clocks and eyes to work out what the time was so maybe you’ll have a similar experience of ‘time’ if you can’t look at your phone at camp. I guess it depends whether they have wall clocks all over the place at there or not. Anyway have a great time at camp.
Hehe, I’m back from camp and I survived just fine! I don’t really like my phone, that’s why I don’t bring it every where. I only have one because I need it. 😝
Glad to hear that you’re not obsessed with your phone like so many people are these days – and it’s not just young people either. When I was your age there were no mobile phones and we all seem to have managed OK without them but now I get ‘anxious’ if I go out and forget to take my phone with me! How sad is that!😎
Cool ideas, but sadly it’s not our vacations here (groan), I’ll try some when my Christmas (or something other holiday) holidays start 🙂
Nice one 😜😜: 10. Visit many ice cream place and bubble tea
Oof, Aamy you poor thing 😫 no vacations?!?!
Naw, Our vacations ended :\
It starts on April or March and ends on May.
It’s the monsoon season here
*searches up monsoon season*
