Have you ever heard of Digitally Lit? Chances are, you haven’t heard of this wonderful organization to promote Atlantic Canadian books and publishers, so that’s why I’m here ๐ Digitally Lit hired me as one of their Youth Ambassadors! So I get to read books for my job! They send me (as well as other youth ambassadors) a catalog of the books from Atlantic Canadian publishers, and I get to choose what book I want to promote on social media! I’m currently using Instagram, Facebook, and this blog! (all under the username arielaonthego, but for TikTok it’s arielaonthego_reads) I’ve only just started this job, but I can tell it’s going to be lots of fun! If you want to know more about Digitally Lit you can check out their Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. ๐ Oh waitโฆ maybe you can just check out their website, digitallylit.ca. My top choices for the books I want to promote are fiction because most of the non-fiction stories aren’t as exciting because everything is happening in the real world.
So, the first book I chose to read and promote is fiction.
Title: The Elephant Talks to God
Author: Dale Estey
Pages: 122
Stars: โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ
The title explains a bit of the story, an elephant does indeed talk to God, and God talks back! And from what I’ve understood in the book, whenever the elephant wants to talk with God, God is there! Which is super cool-and true to the real world. But in the book, God doesn’t directly appear to the elephant, God kind of shape-shifts into something, and then that something is what the elephant can talk to. Most of the times God is a cloud or a boulder that loves to teach this curious elephant life lessons. The elephant probably lives in Africa, or somewhere where you would find elephants, but is doesn’t directly say that, he’s an elephant, he doesn’t know geography! This book is perfect for anyone! It really can fit into lots of genres, and itโs quite an adventure ๐โจ
My favourite quote from the book is:
Do not overestimate death, it is a transition not an endโ
~God, The Elephant Talks to God
That’s really it for this post! I hope you learned something about Digitally Lit, and consider checking out their social media pages because there are lots of other friendly Youth Ambassadors (like me ๐) that are working hard to promote the books they chose, and I also hope you consider checking out the book, The Elephant Talks to God because it’s a great book. ๐ See you next time! Bye!
Congrats on your new role. Very exciting, and I can’t wait to read “The Elephant Talks to God.” What a unique angle for a book. Again, congrats!
Thank you! Iโm glad you decided to check out the book ๐
I was wondering what the job was. I’d originally thought bookshop or library but you are never in one place for long enough to get that kind of job. I hope that being a youth ambassador leads to bigger and better things. The book cover is really good. Simple but effective.
Thank you ๐ youโre very kind
Sounds like a fantastic job! I’m excited to what books you review, I’ve already added this one to my list of what to read next. ๐
Awesome! Thanks ๐
Congratulations on becoming a youth ambassador. Your new role sounds wonderful. Enjoy the years ahead being involved with such an organisation ๐
Awwww, thanks ๐
Congratulations, Ariela! That sounds like a very interesting job! <3

Hmmm, just a couple of thoughts:
1. Wonder if they hire 70 year old Kentuckian Americans?
2. Okay, maybe this publisher doesn’t have any good non-fiction, but to read about what happens in real lives is usually more fascinating than fiction, because you can “feel what they feel.” THIS really happened to this person!?? ๐
Lol, Iโm not sure they would hire a 70 year old from America because you need to be from Atlantic Canada to do this, and the age limit is 25โฆ but anyway I guess I agree, non-fiction can still be a pretty fun read ๐
This is great work that you’ve taken on! (An English teacher says.) I like your first review. You convey detail as well as enthusiasm. I picked up the latest novel in the Wings of Fire series, based on your recommendation and ’cause every now and then I get to teach this kind of literature. Thank you and good luck!
Youโre reading Wings of Fire because of my recommendation? Really? ๐ thatโs great, and thank you for your kind words ๐
Wow, thatโs awesome!!!! Congratulations!! And that book sounds adorable.๐ Nice review!โจ
Thank you, Bea ๐ค๐ค๐ค Iโm glad you enjoyed my post ๐
Good for you! What great opportunity. Cheers, Muriel
๐ Thank you!
Congratulations Ariela! This is definitely a great job you’re doing. It’s such a nice review. ๐
Oh, thank you! I appreciate that ๐๐
How awesome is that?? What a great job to have!
I know, right? I LOVE MY JOB!
