Travels in 2021

Hello everyone! So, if you’ve been following my blog for a while you probably know that I travel. A LOT. In 2020, we only traveled within Canada, driving across the country and running a fundraiser for The Food Bank! You can go to “Travels Around Canada” & “Coast to Coast Canada Fundraiser” category to check that out!

On this lovely map, I have drawn upon, we have red, yellow, and blue tracks! The red is the route we took by car, blue is cruising, and yellow is by plane!

We covered a pretty large area in six months! This started in November of 2021 and stretched alllll the way until May 2022. We put 26,000 km (16,155.65 miles). From our home in New Brunswick we drove to our winter home in Florida. Then in just two weeks, my dad booked a flight to California! We visited San Francisco, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills!

Then we flew back to Orlando, Florida, stayed at home for one night, and then set off into the great beyond! (Okay, not really because we were just kinda going to the Caribbean). My dad decided to go on a seven day cruise. We felt that it was safe to go because it was a “vaccinated cruise”, and because the deals are better when you’re trying to recover from a worldwide pandemic! Some people think we are crazy. Well, we are! 😝 We actually got Covid when we were at home not when were traveling. All I got was a runny nose and cough, so it was pretty mild for all of us. ✌🏽

We were the first ship to arrive at the little islands, and in Grand Turk (Turks and Caicos) the prime minister was there to welcome the cruise passengers! However, we found out about the whole welcome party AFTER we had already left the port. Was I wondering why there was a seating area, a band, drinks, cakes, and cookies when we came out of the boat? Yes. Did I realize what they were for while we were still there? No.

It was my first time to visit to Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, so be sure to check out that posts! Links are below.

Then we went to Tennessee in April on our way back North. It was a great experience because we went to Dollywood, and I got to go on a lot of coasters! It was a nice change from Sea World Orlando where we have an annual pass for! I recommend going to the Mako roller coaster, it’s soooo fun!

When we got back in Canada, we only spent four days at home then we flew to Vancouver,British Columbia and we visited Victoria, BC before we went on a cruise to Alaska, USA. It was a birthday cruise for me, and it was an awesome experience for me.

Stay tuned for my next post about my travels to Alaska: The Last Frontier and Victoria, BC!

  1. Oops! You turned right in TN when you should have come up I-75 to see Mammoth Cave, Red River Gorge, Lexington and The Creation Museum in Petersburg! (A side trip to Natural Bridge State Park would have been worth an extra day!)
Maybe next time you’re down our way, email me and we’ll take you and your parents out to a nice dinner one of Lexington’s premier restaurants, Malone’s.

    1. Ahhhh yesss I would love that! I’m sure it’s lovely over there, next time for sure! 😀

  2. anyways I need your help, I am visiting to United States New York, new jersey around area . any places where I should definitely visit??

    1. Hmm… Well, when I went to New York I pretty much went to all the popular tourist destinations, The Empire Stare Building, Statue of Liberty, etc. I’ll have to think about some for you, as well as a few that don’t cost any extra dollars to go visit :3

        1. Okay! Well, the Empire State Building, the One World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty (you should book in advance if you want to get inside the statue), Central Park (lots of movies filmed there :D), THE 911 Memorial, Times Square, and Edge and the Vessel (I hope you’re not afraid of heights!)! So yeah, basically all the popular tourist destinations in New York City! All are pretty much worth visiting! And in New Jersey… there’s not much over there lol. Whenever I went there we always drove right through, never really stopping anywhere.

I hope you get to go to all of those places! I’ll be looking out for a blog post on your travels?
